Murals – Bowery and Bleecker NYC
L.I.S.A. The Little Italy Street Art project began in 2012 to create Manhattan’s first mural district. Artists from all over the world have been creating amazing street art murals through Little Italy and the Lower East Side. This is at the corner of Bowery and Bleecker across from CBGB’s. The first mural to grace the wall of Saxon and Parole was Joey Ramone , done by Solas of Ireland, in 2015. In August of 2017 the restaurant decided that they would change the mural twice a year with bands and artists that helped make CBGB’s an institution. In August of 2017 Shepard Fairey artist and founder of OBEY added Blondie to the site. I love the vibe and the fact that they’ll change things up a couple of times a year.
